"One final note on the technical side of the house is around Amy Hockman’s achievement here in costume design. I say achievement because the costumes here are skillfully designed and deployed. From Claudia’s and Athena’s dresses to the costumes worn by the bellhops, every piece is beautifully designed and fitted. It’s just another wonderful part of a well designed and produced show." - Heilman & Haver on Suite Surrender 2023
"Additionally, Jasmine has brought in Amy Hockman for costume design on Trouble in Mind. What I like about Amy's work here is how each of her costumes provides depth to each character. You can tell a lot about each of them by what they are wearing, and when part of the creative design doesn't just support the storytelling, but rather enhances it, you've got a winner." - The Sound on Stage on Trouble in Mind 2024
“Add to this…Amy Hockman’s costume work, and it’s clear that Cindy has continued her trend of putting together a crack cast and creative team to present a show that hits on all emotional cylinders. Putting a finer point on Amy’s costuming, what I like about her work here is that there is a consistency across the family, a certain base style on top of which each character can add his or her own personality through their wardrobe, especially with Amy (Gentry)’s Myra, who has unique requirements for dress given her situation. Each of the designs are relatively understated, but help create the overall theme and tone of this production. Well done to all.” - The Sound on Stage on Colder Than Here 2024
"Rounding out the design team is costume designer Amy Hockman. Her work here is of Amy’s standard high quality, Richard’s suit is solid, the costumes that the women Mary Guthrie plays are well appointed and fitting of their unique personalities, and the sheer volume of costumes and pieces that Cindy and Terry don in their plethora or roles is just amazing, not to mention how well they work, and how nicely they are designed for their interchangeability." - The Sound on Stage on The 39 Steps 2024
"What’s impressive about the skydiving scene, whether it scares Abby or not, is how creatively Chris and his team, which is rounded out by Amy Hockman’s work as costume designer, stage it. On those costumes, I do like Amy’s work here, which doesn’t surprise me. The obvious costumes that stand out are the haunted house pieces, they work because they look scary, and the seriousness of them adds to the humor of how the actors pull off the scene. There’s also the outfits from the skydiving piece, but what I like most are what each of the characters wear casually. Aside from Scotty’s scrubs, each outfit speaks to the characters’ personalities, from the athletic themed clothing that Marilyn wears, to Abby’s more conservative scarf and sweater look, Colleen’s punk rock contrasted with her husband’s buttoned up style, and Abby’s son Benjamin’s combination that speaks to his blue collar life." - The Sound on Stage on Ripcord 2025
